Marine BioSediment 6 Ibs (2.7kg) is ideal for use in refugiums and mud filters but can also be used as a main aquairum substrate.
 
Average particle size facilitates rapid de-nitrification and provides an ideal setting for mangroves, macroalgae (culerpa, Halimeda, Penicillus, etc) and turtle grass (Thalassia).
 
This Biosediment slowly releases beneficial calcium, magnesium, strontium, potassium carbonate, sulfate and other trace materials into the aquarium system.
 
As a Biosediment substrate composed of minerals typically found in and around tropical reefs. With an average particle size of minerals similar to natural reef sediment composition present in reef flats and lagoons. Areas where aquatic vegetation is both prevalent and important to the reef ecosystem. 
 
Directions 
For use in refugiums, mud filters (recommended) but can be used as a sole aquarium substrate, ideal depth of about 2-4" for opitimal de-nitrification. 
 
Adjust water flow to avoid sediment from being lifted into the water column. Recommended placed in dry, clean aquariums/refugiums before water is added to avoid unnecessary turbidity. Slowly add water to the desired height and allow 2-3 hours for any cloudiness to clear before turning pumps and other such equipment on.
